Son and Mother worshiping

Join us as we journey together in Lent

As we journey through the sacred season of Lent, we invite you to join us for worship, reflection, and renewal. Each service provides a unique opportunity to deepen our faith and prepare our hearts for Easter. Below are our Lenten worship opportunities:

Ash Wednesday – March 5, 2025

Time: 12pm at South Arlington UMC and 7:00 PM at Wedgewood UMC Join us as we begin Lent with a solemn Ash Wednesday service. Receive the imposition of ashes as a reminder of our mortality and the call to repentance. This service will be a time of prayer, reflection, and renewal as we begin our Lenten journey.

Palm Sunday – April 13, 2025

Time: 10:15 AM Celebrate Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem with a joyful Palm Sunday service. We will wave palm branches and reflect on the journey of Christ as we enter Holy Week.

Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday) – April 17, 2025

Time: 6:30 PM On this sacred night, we remember Jesus’ last supper with his disciples. This service will include the act of hand washing, symbolizing Christ’s call to serve one another, and Holy Communion as we reflect on his commandment to love as he loved us.

Good Friday – April 18, 2025

Time: 8am- 7:00pm The Stations of the Cross is a powerful devotion that retraces Jesus’ journey to the crucifixion, inviting reflection on His suffering and sacrifice. Some of the most moving renditions of these stations have been illustrated by felons on death row, offering a unique perspective on redemption, suffering, and grace. Each station, depicted through their artwork, carries raw emotion—lines etched with pain, hope, and a deep yearning for mercy. These images serve as a testament to the transformative power of faith, reminding us that God's grace extends to all, no matter their past. Our sanctuary will be open all day for you to come and experience the Stations of the Cross.

Easter Sunday – April 20, 2025

Time: 10:15 AM Celebrate the resurrection of Christ with a joyous Easter Sunday worship service! This will be a time of praise, music, and proclamation of the good news that Christ is risen! Come and rejoice in the hope and new life that Easter brings.

We invite you to journey with us through Lent and Holy Week as we prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter. All are welcome!
