Going means stepping outside of our comfort zones to engage with the world as Jesus did. Jesus didn’t wait for people to come to him—he went to the streets, homes, and marketplaces to share God’s love. To “go” in faith is to follow his example by listening deeply to others, building relationships across differences, and participating in acts of justice and reconciliation. Scripture reminds us, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19), and “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
Going can be lived out in big and small ways. It might look like showing kindness in your workplace, speaking up when you see injustice, or volunteering at a local food pantry. It could mean mentoring a young person, checking in on an isolated neighbor, or supporting global mission work. Sometimes “going” is as simple as being present with someone in pain, listening to their story, and offering prayer and encouragement. Other times, it calls us to join larger efforts—marching for justice, advocating for the marginalized, or supporting ministries that bring healing and hope.
Faith is not meant to be hidden away within church walls; it is meant to be integrated into our daily lives and shared wherever God sends us. By going into the world with humility and courage, we embody Christ’s love and become active participants in God’s mission of reconciliation and transformation.
Call to Action: What’s one way you will “go” this week—to your workplace, neighborhood, or community—to share God’s love in action?
